Trout Season Opener

With the season opener a mere 2.5 weeks away, it’s a good time to try to predict the flows. Flows are about the same as they were this time last year, with last year’s opener figures below 500 cfs. Could this mean two consecutive years of relatively calm, readily fishable water on opening day?

I’ve been invited to fish the Eastern Sierras on opening day. As much as I love it over there, I’m just not going to be able to tear myself away from the Upper Sac… It’s tough, I tell ya’.
